This 3 day package includes an early bird or night time guided tour (including the enjoyment of a picnic meal while absorbing the great outdoors); escaping from all the other tourists and experiencing the Blue Mountains and its wildlife on your own.  Also included is a gourmet continental breakfast for 1 day and  1 BBQ hamper for you to cook up a delicious meal. 

The packages to choose from are:

Option#1 ~ Breakfast with the kangaroos.

Rendezvous with the kangaroo is an amazing experience. Be ready for an early morning start where you will have breakfast with wild kangaroos on the edge of the wilderness. You will be picked up from Old Leura Dairy and travel by 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) through hidden valleys accessing a remote part of the World Heritage area with a qualified ecological guide. Amongst the wildlife with a back drop of towering escarpments take delight in a gourmet continental breakfast of bircher muesli, pastries, tea and plunger coffee, fresh apple or orange juice.

Continue your day by enjoying the many spectacular sights of the Blue Mountains, bushwalking, browsing through the specialty shops in Leura or relax in one of the many cafes enjoying sumptuous treats.

A BBQ hamper with all the essential condiments will be ready for you to cook up a storm.  Your hamper will consist of Lime Grove Lime & Chilli Seed Mustard (unbelievably fantastic with meat or turned into a salad dressing!!), Black Label Old Fashioned Tomato Sauce, 90 Mile Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Sami's Kitchen Zartar Spice Blend (sprinkle on bread, salads, meat & dips for a touch of middle eastern authenticity), and for that sweet treat, Mother Megs Butter Balls (a simply divine almond and shortbread treat dusted in sugar).

Option#2 ~ Outdoor Adventure

During daylight hours enjoy a gentle bushwalk, or a more vigorous hike, or a 4 Wheel Drive (4WD) tour in the company of a qualified, experienced ecological guide. There are so many options to choose from for your guided bushwalk and the walk will be tailored for you; let us know where your preference is. Explore the Kedumba Valley descending into a lush rainforest with multiple pitch waterfalls and trek the Federal Pass below the Three Sisters; or choose a Wilderness Walk where you will walk across the cliff top through beautiful fern gullies with an abundance of native wildlife and cross small waterfalls fed by underground springs. The Valley of the Water walk is one of our best historic walks in the Blue Mountains World Heritage area, giving access to waterfalls, lush rainforests of the Kedumba Valley, Eucalyptus forest, deep gorges and canyons, amazing sandstone escarpments 300m high and valleys 800m deep.

Option#3 ~ Glow Worm Night Walk

You will be picked up from Old Leura Dairy and given a torch ready for your night adventure. Walk with a qualified eco guide and learn about the geology, astronomy, plants, wildlife and beautiful electric blue glow worms in the quietness of the rainforest under the southern night sky. Spot nocturnal wildlife and experience the Milky Way, planets, the moon and satellites (weather permitting). You will treated with a picnic style supper of a roll or wrap, fresh fruit juice, tea and coffee.

Allow 3 hours for any of the packages. All options are $195.00 per person (a minimum of 2 people) plus your choice of accommodation. All tours are subject to availability.

Your 3 night accommodation tariff starts from $525.00 for 2 people. Accommodation prices will vary depending on which cottage is booked and whether your stay is midweek or weekend. This will be discussed at the time of booking. Enquiries welcome for a 2 night option.
